Start our 15 week course, learn REAL exam technique, and how to revise PROPERLY.
Achieve your target grade.
Schools do a fantastic job of passing on knowledge to their students during the lessons. We want to support schools and students who want to do well, but may need an extra helping hand to get there. As soon as a student steps outside of the classroom, they may feel lost in HOW to revise, WHEN to revise, and how to stay on top of it all. Our tutors understand this, in fact, they relate to this. Why? Because they’ve just been through it, and managed to achieve excellent grades. So, we’ve developed a 15 week programme that focuses on two major elements that teaches you A level Chemistry through the lens of two key players: effective exam-techniques and efficient revision techniques.
Have you ever been told to “be more specific” in your answers, or to highlight the “key terms”? This is vague and generic advice, that doesn’t apply to your specific situation or answer to a question. We’ve developed specific exam techniques such as:
– The Unit Method (helps you to identify which formulae to use from the exam question)
– The Stripping Method (an approach to application/longer answer questions)
– The Beanstalk Method (match your answers to the mark scheme)
– The WAIT Method (stop making silly mistakes, and match your answers to the mark scheme)
And many more…
There is the bad, the good and the great. But, if they’re all mixed together, it’s hard to tell them apart.
That’s why we help you filter out the bad and good methods of revision, and allow you to stick to the great methods.
During each lesson, you will come up with an action plan with your tutor and which revision technique to use during your revision sessions. Such revision methods include:
– The Pomodoro Technique
– Time-blocking
– How to stop multi-tasking
– The Productivity Method
And many more….
